Where were you born and (if different) where did you grow up? I was born in Nashville, TN.

Current residence and marital status/family (including pets): My husband, Kyle, and I live in Monkton with our two cats, Jax and Zoe.

Education: BM and MM in Violin Performance from Manhattan School of Music

When did you start playing with the VSO? I subbed for the very first time in 2009, playing occasionally for a few years. I started playing more regularly when we moved to VT from Manhattan in 2016.

Other current jobs besides VSO: I’m the Director of Operations for MKI Artists. I also play violin in the Arka Quartet and for the TurnMusic new music ensemble, as well as various freelance gigs around New England.

Favorite composer: Prokofiev, Beethoven, or Bach

Hobbies: Running, telling amazing jokes, exploring VT, going on adventures with my husband

How did you get started in music? I come from a musical family, and my parents started me in private lessons when I was 5.

Describe a typical day: No day is typical, but I’ve been known to schedule myself for almost every minute that I’m awake. I like being busy!

Dream job if not musician: Detective

Secret ambition: I’d love to be a world traveler.

Favorite vice: laughing at my own jokes (really hard)

People would be surprised to know that: I love activities that make my heart race: hang gliding, zip lining, sky diving, etc. I’ve also been paid to publicly perform as a puppeteer.

Pet peeve: people who don’t really listen
