DESCRIPTION:This annual\, free favorite at the State House returns after three years’ absence due to the pandemic. The 2023 David. M Wilson Memorial Farmers’ Night Concert is conducted by Director of Orchestra and Associate Professor of Music at the University of Vermont\, Dr. Yutaka Kono. Music includes Rossini’s La Scala di Seta Overture\, Francis Johnson’s Cotillions\, Lauren Bernofsky’s Abendstern\, Haydn’s Symphony No. 8\, “Le Soir” and a piece by West Rutland High School graduate Drew Frankenberg via Music-COMP. \nTicketing/registration is not required for this open-to-the-public performance. \nThis concert is made possible through funding support from the David M Wilson Memorial Fund\, and the State of Vermont.
