SUMMARY:Jukebox: Color Theory - Roots Studio Space
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n \n\n\n\nThe Jukebox fall series showcases the intersection between music and art with works inspired by vivid colors\, imagery\, and artwork. Over the duration of the concert\, the music will guide and inform a live painting experience with Haitian/Vermont artist Julio Desmont as he creates a new piece of artwork in real time. Curated and hosted by Matt LaRocca\, this concert features music by composers Jessie Montgomery\, Philip Glass\, Benjamin Britten\, Javier Alvarez\, and more. \n\nDesmont’s artistic journey begin in Haiti in his early childhood observing trogon birds and riding on Taptaps.  Later on\, he was inspired by Jean Michel Basquiat\, Wassily Kandinsky\, and Pablo Picasso whose inspirations went back to Africa – as well as the original American painter\, Georgia O’Keeffe.\n\n  \nThe Jukebox Quartet\n\n\nBrooke Quiggins-Saulnier and Ben Lively\, violin\nStefanie Taylor\, viola\nJohn Dunlop\, cello \n\nThis concert is produced in partnership with The Paramount Theatre and is generously sponsored in part by:    \nAnd made possible with the generous support of the Young Cultural Endowment Fund for Rutland\, and by Sandy and Kristi Bragg\, in memory of Ann Bragg.
