SUMMARY:Jukebox: Porch Songs - Americana Roots - South Pomfret
DESCRIPTION:Buy Tickets \nAs spring arrives\, we bring you a special\, intimate Jukebox program that invites listeners onto the proverbial porch—where music flows freely\, stories are shared\, and a sense of place is felt in every note. Porch Songs honors the legacy of American folk traditions and the communal spirit that sustains them.   \nFeaturing Pulitzer Prize-winner Jennifer Higdon’s exploration of her Southern roots in Southern Harmony\, the Appalachian-infused stylings of fiddler and composer Mark O’Connor and brand new arrangements of music by bluegrass legend Matt Flinner alongside many more. This program celebrates the magical place where classical and folk traditions meet.  \nThis Jukebox tour will be accompanied by an interactive audio and visual display of Vermont folk heritage\, steeped in song selections from the Helen Hartness Flanders Ballad Collection at Middlebury College. We are also grateful for the assistance of the Henry Sheldon Museum and the Vermont Folklife Center. These displays are curated by Lyn Lauffer. \nBrooke Quiggins-Saulnier and Joana Genova\, violin; Stefanie Taylor\, viola; and John Dunlop\, cello. Hosted and curated by Matt LaRocca. \nPresented by:
