DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Women’s History Month with a free string quartet concert of music by female composers. Fanny Mendelssohn\, Elena Kats Chernin\, Rhiannon Giddens\, Caroline Shaw\, Florence Price\, Germaine Tailleferre\, and more are featured in this one-hour tribute to the accomplishments of women across generations and continents. The VSO’s members are violinists Kathy Andrew and Laura Markowitz\, violist Ana Ruesink\, and cellist Jiwon Lee\, altogether performing under the name Sylvia. \nThis concert is free\, but registration is encouraged. \nRegister Here \nThe host sponsor for this event is The Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center. \n \nVSO’s Women’s History Month concerts are generously funded by the Music Performance Trust Fund\, and Vermont Humanities. \n  \n           \n
