The VSO is a unionized, part-time, fully professional, per service orchestra.
Travel, per diem, and housing provided per CBA.
2026/2027 assistant concertmaster rates: $274.03/performance – $79.07/rehearsal hour
2026/2027 section rates: $171.27/performance – $52.71/rehearsal hour
All applicants should be prepared to demonstrate either U.S. citizenship or legal eligibility to accept employment, and, upon acceptance of employment, must belong to the American Federation of Musicians.
